These terms govern your use of the AppFreeze macOS app (both the free Lite and paid Pro editions) and this website. By downloading or using AppFreeze, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
AppFreeze is a menu-bar utility that pauses (freezes) and resumes background apps on your Mac to save battery and CPU. Freezing suspends a process in place; resuming restores it. AppFreeze never freezes the app you’re actively using, Finder, the Dock, or core system processes — by design.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use AppFreeze on Macs you own or control, for your own use, subject to these terms and to the rules of the store or reseller you obtained it from.
You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the app except as permitted by law or by the applicable store terms.
AppFreeze and all related intellectual property are owned by Metaflow Lab. These terms grant you a license to use the app, not ownership of it.
Payments are processed by Apple (Lite, on the Mac App Store) or by Lemon Squeezy, our reseller / merchant of record (Pro). Refunds for Lite / App Store purchases follow Apple’s policy; refunds for Pro follow Lemon Squeezy’s policy and any statutory consumer rights you have. For App Store distribution, Apple’s standard end-user license agreement also applies to the Lite app, and Apple is not responsible for the app or for support of it.
Freezing an app pauses it — unsaved work in a frozen app may be affected until you resume it, and some apps may behave unexpectedly while paused. You are responsible for choosing which apps to freeze. Don’t use AppFreeze to interfere with software you’re not authorized to control.
AppFreeze is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Metaflow Lab will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising out of your use of AppFreeze. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
This license ends if you stop using the app or if you materially breach these terms. You may stop using AppFreeze at any time by uninstalling it.
We may update these terms; the “Last updated” date above will change and the current version will always be posted here. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
